The Life Cycle of a Termite

It takes all types of termites to make a thriving colony. The termite queen births thousands of eggs a day, the eggs are looked after by the workers, hatch to become, larva. The larva grow to be Nymphs. Based on the needs of the colony the Nymphs grow into either, workers, soldiers, or secondary reproductives. The secondary reproductives grow wings and become the Alate or swarming termites. Over time the Alate will lose their wings.
